This recipe is the perfect substitute for Chex mix! When I tried it I couldn't believe how similar it tastes. The nuts give it a crunch and pair perfectly with the seasonings that give them their Chex mix flavor.
If you are looking for a quick and easy snack to make, you have come to the right place. These Chex mix inspired nuts take no more than 20 minutes to make, require minimal effort, and you only need 5 ingredients to make them.
Chex Mix Seasoned Nuts
This recipe was inspired by Chex Mix. A crunchy salty snack mix with corn Chex, wheat Chex, pretzels, rye chips and mini bread-sticks.
For this low carb version, we will be using nuts in place of the Chex, pretzels, etc.
You can use any kind of nuts for this recipe. I chose peanuts, pecans, walnuts, and almonds.
Worcestershire sauce
A key ingredient in this recipe is Worcestershire sauce, which typically has sugar, molasses, or corn syrup in it.
A great substitute for Worcestershire sauce is mixing 2 tablespoons of soy sauce with one table spoon of sugar free ketchup.
I used this method in my recipe. It works as a perfect replacement and tastes exactly the same as Worcestershire sauce.
